After Boiler Room TV launched a new platform "4:3" that operated in the world of visual arts I was inspired to create visuals that I feel describe the whole idea of Boiler Room and art and how it takes you on a spiritual level.
'Spirited Away' by Hayao Miyazaki is one of my favourite movies. I was inspired to create a controversial collages that involve characters from that movie and creates an opposite tone of voice than what Miyazaki was promoting:
“I’ve become skeptical of the unwritten rule that just because a boy and girl appear in the same feature, a romance must ensue. Rather, I want to portray a slightly different relationship, one where the two mutually inspire each other to live - if I’m able to, then perhaps I’ll be closer to portraying a true expression of love.”
These works were inspired by 'Man with a Movie Camera' by Dziga Vertov.
